Backed by years of meticulous research, Yunjac is a highly effective, plant-based skincare and cosmetic brand that blends enriched precious Korean herbal ingredients with modern science.
Working closely with Chung Yoo-Kyung, the President of Shinsegae Co Ltd and the team at NR2154, I was involved in designing the brand identity and packaging to position Yunjac as a modern apothecary of prestige skincare.
(LOGO) Tradition meets modern-day luxury. Designed together with Elina Asanti, the logo is classic, determined, and serious. The letterforms take on Roman capital letter proportions, with fluid details and pointy, heavily bracketed serifs.
(COLOR/TYPE) Earthy colors that are reminiscent of Korean herbs such as Red Ginseng and Agarwood are paired with contrasting tones of grays and taupes and accented with gold foil. The clean and modern packaging design is paired with classic serif typefaces; Trajan and Caslon.
