Stærk was founded in 2000 when Camilla Stærk’s graduate collection–a gentle reappraisal of the gothic through leathers, silks, and jerseys– was purchased by top boutiques in Paris and London, introducing a dark new star to fashion’s growing galaxy.

Growing up on a farm outside of Copenhagen, Stærk developed a longstanding love of leather from the saddles on the horses she rode, connected to images of the fog that swirled around Hamlet’s Elsinore castle and took Seven Gothic Tales author Karen Blixen as one of her heroes. As a fashion and lifestyle designer, she’s consistently garnered attention for designs that are stark, minimalist, graceful, and deeply noir—her designs carve out a female silhouette not to be trifled with.

Echoing Stærk’s artistic world, NR2154 designed an identity, including the logo, brand colors, and typographic system that extends through e-commerce packaging, labels, collateral, and website.
